Betula pendula ~ Silver Birch

A silver birch is a thin-leaved deciduous hardwood tree. They are a typically rather short-lived species, widespread in the Northern Hemisphere particularly in northern areas of temperate climates and in boreal climates.

Can have serious effects on hay fever sufferers.

The simple leaves are alternate, singly or doubly serrate, feather-veined, petiolate and stipulate.
